President for Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH)

His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President for Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH), born in Riyadh on 27 June 1956. He got a Master's degree in Social and Political Sciences from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Social Affairs at Syracuse University in the United States in 1999.

Prince Sultan bin Salman is a former Royal Saudi Air Force pilot who flew aboard STS-51-G Space Shuttle mission as a payload specialist. He is the grandson of King Abdulaziz Al Saud, founder of Saudi Arabia and the only Saudi citizen to travel to space. He is also the first Arab, first Muslim, and the first member of royalty to travel to space.

In 1982, Prince Sultan bin Salman was appointed to the post of researcher in the Department of International Communications in the Ministry of Information of Saudi Arabia. In 1984, he also served as the Deputy Director of Saudi Media Committee for Saudi athletes at the Los Angeles Olympics in California.

In 1999, he finished his Master's degree in Social and Political Sciences from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Social Affairs at Syracuse University in the United States. Specialization: "Tribal Transformation and Nation Building in the Saudi Experience."


Abdulaziz Bin Salem Al Ruwais

Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC)

Prof. Abdulaziz Salem Al Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), has extensive experience in the engineering and planning of fixed and mobile telecommunications networks where he worked as an advisor to a number of entities across both public and private sectors. His extensive academic experience includes his role as a professor in telecommunications engineering and dean of the faculty of engineering at King Saud University, then as a vice president of the same university. In addition, he is currently heads and participates in a number of national and international committees including the Chairmanship of the National Committee for Information Society (NCIS), the Chairmanship of the Steering Committee forthe e-government program ('Yasser') and the membership of the United Nations Broadband Commission for Sustainable Development. Prof. Al Ruwais holds a Ph.D. from the Ohio State University and a master's degree from the University of Colorado, and a bachelor's degree from King Saud University. All of these degrees are in the field of communications engineering.



President and Chief Executive Ocer, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC)

Eng. Ziyad Mohammed Al-Shiha, is the president and chief executive ocer of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), and board member of the High Commission for the Development of Riyadh, board member of the Saudi Organization for Industrial Estates and Technology (SOIETZ) and is a member of the Saudi Green Building Forum. Before being appointed as president and chief executive ocer of SEC, Eng. Ziyad Al-Shiha served as board member to both SEC and Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, while also serving as Saudi Aramco's executive director of power systems. Eng. Ziyad Al-Shiha was previously vice president of corporate planning at Saudi Aramco's joint venture holding company, Petron Corporation in the Philippines, and was also appointed as member of the board of directors. Upon joining Saudi Aramco in 1984, he assumed several roles in different capacities including operational, managerial and leadership roles across several locations in Saudi Arabia, the United States and the Philippines. He has worked in the areas of upstream, downstream, public relations, capital program evaluation and new business development. He obtained his MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from the Sloan Fellows Program in Innovation and Global Leadership and a master of science in Electrical Engineering from Rice University in the US. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Saudi Arabia.



Former Prime Minister of Egypt

Prof. Sharaf has been leading and sharing major roles in numerous initiatives and projects extend over all technical levels from execution and up to strategic levels, private and governmental. His vast experience is augmented by multicultural working environments and worldwide travel. Throughout the 40 years of his professional career experience, Prof. Sharaf has been nominated and awarded plenty of international professional recognitions in his eld of expertise. Prof. Sharaf has supervised about 70 master and doctoral dissertations in several areas including asset management, transportation, safety, highway engineering and management, pavement maintenance management, and transport asset management. He has also participated in more than 100 national and international conferences and workshops, as paper presenter, chairing sessions, or keynote speaker. His Scientic wealth includes more than 140 papers published in local and international scientic Journals and Conference Proceedings. Dr Sharaf Established Sharaf Foundation for sustainable Development in Egypt as an NGO institute since 2015 and started with more than 50 lecture for public awareness of Sustainability in Egypt and around the world in addition to extend deep cooperation with chines NGOs such as China Network for International exchange and Ninxia association for international friendship. Finally, he has been selected in number of leading governmental roles tailed as Minister of Transport in 2005, and Prime Minister in 2011.




Zamil Industrial

Abdulla Al Zamil started his career at Zamil Air Conditioners in 1987 as an Industrial Engineer and was promoted to Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Procurement and Resource Management and later to the position of Senior President. He assumed the responsibilities of Chief Operating officer of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (Zamil Industrial) in 2003 and was appointed CEO in 2009. He is also a member of Zamil Industrial Investment Board (Zamil Industrial).

Abdullah Al-Zamil holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Washington University, USA in 1987. He received an MBA from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1993.

Professor David A Nethercot OBE, BSc, PhD, DSc, FREng, FIStructE, FICE, FCGI, is former Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College and former Deputy Principal (Teaching) of the Engineering Faculty. He has more than thirty years experience of research, specialized advisory work and committee activity in the area of steel, aluminum and composite construction. He was previously on the staff at Cardiff, Sheffield and Nottingham Universities, including 5 years as Head of Department at Nottingham.

A particular interest has been the influence of connection behavior on the overall performance of frame structures, where he has been responsible for major programs of combined experimental and numerical work that underpin design treatments in British, European and other national standards, as well as industry design guides such as those produced by the SCI. Current research interests include progressive collapse of structures and light gauge and stainless steel construction.

David Nethercot was for 12 years prior to his retirement in the autumn of 2011 Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London; he was also Deputy Principal of the Engineering Facility. Previously, he was on the staff at Cardiff, Sheffield, and Nottingham Universities, including 5 years as Department Head at Nottingham.

He was awarded a DSc degree in 1993 and elected to the Royal Academy of Engineering in the same year. He is a past President of the Institution of Structural Engineers and a former Council member of the Royal Academy of Engineering. In 2006, he was awarded an OBE for services to Structural Engineering. He received the IStructE's Gold Medal in 2009 and was elected a Foreign Fellow of the Academy of Technical Sciences and Engineering of Australia in the following year. He is one of 2015's newly elected Foreign Members of the National Academy of Engineering of the USA.

David has almost 50 years' experience of teaching, research and specialist advisory work, principally in the field of steel construction. He is the author of more than 400 research papers as well as textbooks and design guides and has addressed conferences in some 50 countries worldwide. His work as a member and chair of review bodies includes acting in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Ireland, Cyprus and the UK.

Included in his professional work are acting as an expert for the Wembley Stadium roof, Gerrards Cross tunnel collapse and the new Forth Bridge. He has provided specialist advice for numerous building and infrastructure projects, including work for the nuclear and defense industries. His roles with steel construction companies has covered design, product development and regulatory issues.


Dr. Mohammed S. Al Surf

Dr. Mohammed Saied Al Surf, Assistant Professor of Architecture, joined Effat University in Fall-2015. He received his PhD degree at Queensland University of Technology, Australia on Nov/2014. He has more than 8 years of practice experience. 2007-2008 Mohammed participated in the design and construction for several private and public projects and he was the sole architect for different residential, office, medical and educational buildings. Mohammed became an architectural Engineer from the Saudi Council of Engineers in 2007and a LEED Green Associate from the USGBC in 2014. He became an authorized trainer from the Saudi Green Building Forum for Education for Sustainable development and Green building in 2015. He is the Chairman of Education atthe Saudi Green Building Forum. Paul has been an SFPE member since 1976, earning the grade of Professional Member in 2005. He is active at both the chapter and National level, serving as both Chapter President of the Minnesota Chapter and member, SFPE Board of Directors. He was one of the inventors at 3M of NOVEC 1230, a gaseous fire suppression agent, and holds a patent for Fluorinated Ketones in Fire Extinguishing Compositions. Paul earned a BS in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Dr. Eng. Saad bin Abdulrahman Al Shehri is a member of the teaching staff collaborating to teach geodesy, satellite, professional and legal area, and the subject of graduation project 1and graduation project 2, Faculty of Engineering, King Saud University.

He is the scientic designer and supervisor of the high diploma program in geographic information systems and a member of the teaching staff of the global positioning systems and the material of geospatial data infrastructure and the material security applications of geographic information systems program at the Higher Institute of Security Studies.

Mark Dickson

Mark Dickson has more than 30 years of experience in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams and has been a Project Management Professional (PMP) credential holder since 1998.

Mr. Dickson's global experience covers a broad range of endeavors, including project and program management, business management, and advisory services for government and commercial clients. He has worked in the defense, infrastructure, transport, building, information systems, urban development, and resource industries; planning and delivering projects and programs in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, the Pacific, and Australia. Mr. Dickson has led teams delivering relatively small projects through to multi-billion dollar programs.

As a volunteer with PMI, he completed a six-year term on the PMI Certification Governance Council, the body overseeing PMI certifications and credentials, including two terms as Chair. Since joining the PMI Board of Directors, he has served on the Board Audit and Performance Oversight Committee (APOC) and as Vice Chair. In 2017, he became the new Chair of the PMI Board.

Mr. Dickson is a graduate of the Royal Military College of Australia. He holds a degree in engineering and is a past Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Mr. Dickson also has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Yahya is currently the Inspection Department Manager and comes with a strong background in Engineering, Project Management and Operations. He commenced his career as an Engineering Specialist and has assumed numerous leadership positions within the company.

He previously worked within Downstream as Manager of Yanbu Refinery Department between November 2013 and September 2015. Prior to that, Yahya was the Manager of Jeddah Refinery in May 2013.

Yahya has 26 years of experience which started in 1990 with 6 years as an Electrical Engineer in the Electrical Utility Company He joined Saudi Aramco in 1996 in Engineering Services where he contributed to the development of several engineering standards & studies and was a member of the leading team to establish the Corporate Engineering 2020 Vision.

Yahya acted as the GM for Upstream Project Management and his strong credential in Project Management significantly contributed to his role in several projects including Mega Programs namely Qatif & AbuSafah Gas-Oil Separation Plant (GOSP), and Saudi Aramco & Total Refinery Company (SATORP) of 400 MBD full conversion refinery.

Mr. Yahya Abushal holds a bachelor's degree and M.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, September 1990 and January 1994 respectively, from King Fahad University of Petroleum & Minerals. He has also obtained an MBA degree from Open University Malaysia in October in 2009.

He attended several Management programs and leadership forums including Asia Business Culture and visited a number of institutes in Japan, Korea and China, in addition he also attended the Saudi Aramco Management development Seminars in both Washington DC & New York.

Dr. Saud Mohammed Bin Marshad is the Desalination Specialist at East Coast Engineering Department, Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Saud started his career in 1996 as Shift-In-Charge Engineer at SWCC in Jubail and Kohbar plant. In 2000, he was appointed as Senior Desal Engineer in phase 3 of Kohbar plant. In 2009, he appointed as Operation Deviation Manager of Kohbar plant, Phase 3. Striving for more a challenging environment, Dr. Saud moved to SWCC East Coast Engineering Department in 2013 as Desalination Specialist Engineer. He is now the leader of Improving efficiency task force of plants and transmission systems in SWCC. He is a member of leadership Committee for Energy Efficiency in SWCC. He is a member of National Committee for Legislation and Standardization of Operation and Maintenance in Saudi Arabia. He is member of International Desalination Association (IDA). Dr. Saud holds a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University in Riyadh, and obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Malaysia University (Bahrain Branch). Dr. Saud has a PhD in Desalination Economy from Heriot Watt University in the United Kingdom.


Nasser Al-Shahrani

Nasser Al-Shahrani is presently working as Chief Operations Officer in the GCC Interconnection Authority, and has more than 20 years experience in power system operations and planning.

He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Power Engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals – KSA in 1996. He has received his MBA in Business Administration from University of Bahrain-Bahrain in 2001 and he is currently doing his Doctorate program at SBS about GCC Power Market.

He is active member of Cigre. He is also member of Cigre SC C4 and member of GCC Operations Committee. He is the Technical Working Group Leader for the Arab interconnection study and the Chairman of the Interconnection Transmission Code Review Panel.

He has authored more than 20 papers in several regional and international Conferences, mostly in the field of system operations and market operations of power systems.

Eng. Wajdi Haider is currently the Chairman of Architectural Engineering at the Saudi Council of Engineers.

He is also the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) for Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company, a company established by Jeddah Municipality and co-owned by Jeddah Municipality and The Public Investment Fund.

With over 12 years of experience in project management and a proven record of managing and delivering multiple projects and coordinating large teams, Eng. Wajdi Haider started a career in project management and real estate development in Saudi Arabia and built his career through working with some of the world’s most valuable and admired international companies, such as Old Mutual Properties, EMAAR Properties, and Savola Group.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and a Master's degree in Business Administration.
